At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As part of a hardworking team of engineers you will deliver large scale development tests on a timely basis. These large scale development tests are at the core of a program developing a new upper stage for the New Glenn rocket. You will be working with other engineers and technicians on a daily basis to design, stand up, and execute these large scale tests. Designing, routing, and fabricating cryogenic and high pressure plumbing will be part of the job. Working with and installing large tanks is an integral part of the job. You will be selecting, sourcing, and installing fluids components such as solenoid valves, pneumatic valves, pressure regulators, relief valves, etc. in ambient and cryogenic applications. You will select and install instrumentation to ensure safety and to obtain test data to provide the data necessary to meet test objectives. As part of this role you will be an integral part of executing these large scale tests. If located in Kent, then travel to test locations will be required, at least 25% of the time. This is for a Fixed Term role with an end date of December 31, 2026.
