About The Position
Kirkwood Test Center supports students, faculty, and the community through the delivery of accurate, efficient, and secure testing services. We have three locations--in Cedar Rapids at Main Campus, in Coralville at the Kirkwood Regional Center at the University of Iowa, and in Hiawatha at the Linn County Regional Center. We also provide training and support for test proctors at other Kirkwood locations. Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Support Specialist plays a visible, responsible, and versatile front-line role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Test Center. The Support Specialist maintains the Test Center's web-based appointment system and works collaboratively across departments to collect exam instructions from faculty and third-party exam sponsors. With limited supervision, the Support Specialist administers exams according to written and verbal instructions and industry best practices. The Support Specialist exercises discretion and sound judgment when dealing with ambiguity, confidential information, and academic integrity issues. In addition to providing front-line customer service at the Test Center, the Support Specialist provides training and support to faculty for accessing our services.
