About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a Test Capability Integration Engineers to join our team in Berkely, MO. The Test Capability Integration (TCI) role requires an understanding of hardware design, systems engineering, and product testing. The role is an advocate for the Boeing Test & Evaluation Aerodynamic Test capability to business partners seeking to connect program requirements with the unique testing capabilities of the Lab Test organization. The TCI advocate will work with programs to communicate their work statement to suitable test facilities and will develop project cost, schedule, and risk estimates that encompass the full spectrum of testing needs required for program success. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Level Test Capability Integration Engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience in program/project integration
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates test requirements, schedules and budgets between defense programs and test execution teams
  • Coordinates changes in statement of work and manage impacts to schedules/budgets
  • Manages and maintains capability forecasting tools
  • Communicates project status to test teams, management, and program leaders
  • Reviews test proposals and test requests to identify potential problems and resolve issues
  • Leads initial planning conferences, establishing project ground rules to enable project ROM or commitment level cost and schedules submittals to business unit stakeholders
  • Leads others in the development of standard test estimates and portfolio forecasts
  • Applies advanced scheduling and project management methods to create integrated test portfolios with budget, occupancy, and resource schedules
  • Tracks test performance vs. plan and investigates variation from plan, provides alerts for corrective action or management intervention
  • Maintains a record of test program revisions and final actual performance for use in future program parametric estimates
  • Resolves or oversees resolution of special test performance issues
  • Works with the BT&E Test Program Management Group and BT&E Finance group to ensure accurate forecast and reporting of Aero Test Performance plan data
  • Provides continuity of outside facility access requirements to Capability Management, Business Units (BDS & ET&T) programs, and Supplier Management
  • Provides weekly forum for review of test schedules with both customer organizations and test organizations
  • Maintains industry relations with outside test facility operators to ensure continuous awareness of test facility availability and costs
