About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer II to design, develop, and execute automated tests that ensure the functionality and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and automation, along with a curiosity to learn and a passion for delivering high-quality products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with automating tests.
  • Extensive experience with API Testing.
  • Proven experience with developing and maintaining complex test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, and/or REST-assured.
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman, Swagger, and/or SoapUI.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C# with experience in object-oriented design and development.
  • Experience with database testing and SQL.
  • Understanding of Testing lifecycle, Test Design methodologies, Test Execution, and Defect Tracking.
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Familiarity and experience with Behavior Driven Development concepts such as Cucumber or C#/SpecFlow/Reqnroll.
  • Experience with YAML & Powershell.

  • Financial Industry experience.

  • Performance testing (LoadRunner, K6).
  • SaaS Platforms (Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with containerization.
  • Familiarity with Terraform.

Responsibilities

  • Adopts and maximizes capabilities of emerging technologies like AI to enhance solutions & actively leverages AI-driven tools & techniques for defect tracking and issue resolution.
  • Supports CI/CD Integration for Testing. Applies expertise to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployments.
  • Maintains Automation Test Framework and Regression Suites. Updates and enhances regression test suites, reducing execution time and improving test coverage for existing functionality.
  • Build scalable and maintainable solutions while following best practices.
  • Reviews code for quality and adherence to standards. Able to design & code a technical solution.
  • Explores new technologies independently or under supervision.
  • Adjust plans dynamically and manage mid-to-high complexity tasks.
  • Balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrate end-to-end thinking to independently tackle moderate complexity problems and make improvements.
  • Analyze root causes of issues/defects and implement effective solutions.
  • Think critically about immediate trade-offs and contribute possible recommendations.
  • Provide thoughtful and constructive feedback in cross-functional, technical discussions to improve code quality and design.
  • Collaborate with teams across Avid to validate upstream and downstream integrations
  • Participate in release planning and sign-off activities, ensuring automation and test readiness across environments.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and DevOps to ensure automation aligns with business and technical goals.
  • Participate in E2E shakeouts in different environments, ensuring full business flow validation.
  • Act as a bridge between onsite and offshore QA teams to ensure alignment in priorities, regression coverage, and deliverables.
