About The Position

Bentley Systems is seeking a Test Automation Engineer I to join our Licensing Test Team. In this role, you'll contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies that empower users to solve mission-critical challenges, save time, and reduce costs across construction and infrastructure sectors.You'll play a key role in building robust, reusable automated tests and ensuring system stability and reliability. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of proven work experience in automated QA.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g. TypeScript / PowerShell / C#).
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) systems.
  • Solid knowledge of backend testing (APIs, DBs, Microservices).
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • A proactive, shift-left mindset - ability to identify issues early and work to prevent them
  • Self-motivated person with the ability to work individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Automation Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions to improve testing efficiency, product quality, and compliance with specifications. Manage the integration of automated tests into the continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Test Environment Management: Create, configure, and maintain test environments that simulate different user scenarios and conditions.
  • Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and communicate software defects clearly and accurately, collaborating closely with developers for swift resolution.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including development, product, and operations, to ensure thorough testing coverage and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to enhancing testing methodologies, tools, and best practices to drive excellence in the development lifecycle.
