About The Position

Typically part of the solution development team, the solution architect is responsible for translating the requirements created by functional analysts into the architecture for that solution and describing it through the set of architecture and design artifacts. Those artifacts are then used by the rest of the development team to implement the solution. The process of defining architecture by the solution architect often involves selection of the most appropriate technology for the problem being solved. Strong understanding and working knowledge of software engineering, software development, solution architecture and implementation of medium to large scale systems across multiple platforms. This person will be supporting testing teams as a feature subject matter expert through the testing process and deployment support. This person will also be responsible for communication of testing progress and plan to external stakeholders and external testing teams.

Requirements

  • CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO START BY 8/19, NO EXCEPTIONS
  • MUST HAVE OSS/BSS EXPERIENCE FROM T-MOBILE NETWORKS
  • Experience from T-Mobile, AT&T OSS & BSS Experience
  • Someone will need to feel comfortable sitting in meetings, asking the right questions
  • Will have to come from an Enterprise level corporation.
  • Someone needs to understand (and be okay with) an environment that’s very slow to change.
  • Level III Minimum 6 to 10 years experience designing or configuring systems and/or applications
  • Level IV Minimum 10+ years experience designing or configuring systems and/or applications.
  • 10 + years of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Don’t necessarily need an Architect, a QA Lead will be sufficient here.
  • Don’t need automation experience – helps to see how automation fits in (and the benefits), but doesn’t need hands on experience

Responsibilities

  • Work though development grooming sessions with the Dev team.
  • Attend feature grooming meetings.
  • Work with Dev & Architecture teams to determine “what are we actually building” and “How do we test this feature.”
  • Create ‘test scenarios’ and high level testing instructions for hands on testers, but other organizations (billing ops, UAT).
  • Write documentation.
  • Support the testers as they go through their testing cycles.
  • Interact with Dev team to clarify questions.
  • Provide support all way through deployment & post deployment support.
  • Comfortable sitting in meetings, asking the right questions
  • Communication of testing progress and plan to external stakeholders and external testing teams.
