The intern will develop methodologies for design and characterization of fiber optics products and apply state-of-the-art experimental/theoretical skills to technical problems.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Optics or Physics
• Must have Junior standing or above at the time of application
• The candidate must have completed a minimum of two courses in Optics or Fiber Optics
• Background in optics or optical engineering, Optical Metrology preferred
• Programming skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
• Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-August 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
• Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity
• Be willing to work at the posted job location
