Test and Evaluation Engineering Technician Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Missile and Weapons System division, Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Sustainment Programs is seeking a highly motivated Test & Evaluation Engineering Technician to support Dynamic and Environmental Testing at Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) Little Mountain Test Facility (LMTF) in Ogden, Utah. Team member will: Assist in setup and testing customer provided test articles to dynamic and natural environments, including shock, vibration, temperature, altitude, humidity, etc. Will setup instrumentation and configuration needed to perform the test and minimize risk. This position will directly support Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) Little Mountain Test Facility (LMTF) Shock & Vibration Labs for testing, operating and maintaining test stand and support equipment, design test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements, and upgrades of a variety of test stands and methods including hardness status, projection, data acquisition, analysis, and performance of hardened components. Identify solutions to basic problems and support the development of processes, methods, and tools. Supports development of test debrief material. Works under general supervision. The candidates will also support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and configuration of support documentation of test stands, equipment, and interfaces. Responsibilities: General ability to lead a team to conduct a test, compilation of test sequence, monitor progress of the test, and record test activities while being able to accommodate / troubleshoot / maintain any unforeseen events that occur during the test. General knowledge and is proficient in the operation, integration, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automatic test equipment. General knowledge across a wide range of mechanical and electrical, disciplines. Performs special test procedures as required to support testing and failure investigation. Prepares for next test activities or events based on results. Designs component and sub-assembly level hardware as specified by the Statement of Work. Uses analytical tools to verify the design. Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware. Participates in test readiness reviews, safety reviews and data/control systems checkout to minimize risk. Performs calibrations and system check-out/validation to satisfy test requirements. Configures software for data acquisition and analysis. Prepares daily execution plans for effective use of all test resources. General knowledge of test article/vehicle configuration control procedure required to prepare for a given test. This requires the use of configuration control management process to track and maintain article/vehicle configuration. General ability to configure the test article using test requirements gathered from test plans, government regulations, and safety rules. General knowledge of design of experimental models, mechanisms, prototypes, test rigs and fixtures, test equipment, and load measurement devices. Includes mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatics systems design. Knowledge of machine shop tools and processes. Ability to integrate wide range of test instrumentation (e.g., strain, pressure, and temperature). Utilizes analytical tools. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
