About The Position

We are seeking a Territory Sales Representative with a strong background in selling foodservice distribution products, particularly to Italian-focused operators. The ideal candidate excels in acquiring new accounts rather than just maintaining existing ones, and can clearly articulate strategies for building a pipeline, prospecting, and closing new business.

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of experience in foodservice sales.
  • Experience calling on Italian-focused operators.
  • Proven success in new business development.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, including cheese, meats, dry goods, and pizza ingredients.
  • Experience in foodservice distribution is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing relationships or a book of business is a plus.
  • Open to candidates from Italian cuisine backgrounds, such as pizzeria or restaurant owners, interested in moving into sales.
  • Must reside in or near the Queens area to cover sales territory in Nassau and Queens.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new accounts within the foodservice distribution sector.
  • Call on Italian-focused operators to promote and sell products.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Prospect and engage with potential new clients through cold calling and other outreach methods.
  • Manage customer relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Perform data entry and account management tasks as needed.
