About The Position

Our client is a leading company in the agro-industrial sector focused on developing innovative solutions that enhance fertilizer performance and agricultural productivity. With operations centered in Des Moines, Iowa, the company is expanding across Illinois and South Dakota to better serve growers and regional markets. About the Role: The company is seeking a Field Sales Representative to promote and sell a liquid coating technology for granular fertilizers directly to farmers, local retailers, and smaller agricultural operations. This position focuses on field presence, relationship building, on-farm demonstrations, and supporting growers in improving fertilizer handling and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Sales experience in agriculture, crop inputs, or rural markets preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable working in field environments and traveling frequently.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
  • Fluent English required; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Practical understanding of farming operations or fertilizer use is a plus.
  • Degree or technical training in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell the product directly to farmers, local cooperatives, and agricultural retailers.
  • Conduct farm visits, field demonstrations, and product trials.
  • Build strong relationships with growers and local agricultural communities.
  • Educate customers on product benefits such as dust reduction, improved flowability, and nutrient preservation.
  • Identify new sales opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Provide post-sale support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collect customer feedback and local market insights.
  • Assist in introducing additional products from the companys portfolio as commercial operations expand.
  • Maintain regular reporting of sales activities and territory performance.
