About The Position

Over 35 years ago, the Yesterdays brand was born as a bold love letter to the California beach lifestyle, delivering a unique and evolving beach narrative that people wear again and again. Yesterdays apparel elevates businesses' brands and the people of special places. As a Sales Rep for the Resort Division, you will work closely with the National Sales Manager and play a crucial role in driving business growth for Yesterdays. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Your passion for the products, combined with stellar sales skills, will help expand the customer base and exceed sales goals. The territory covers Northern Utah to Northern California, with ideal candidates living near Salt Lake City, Reno, Lake Tahoe, or Sacramento.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in apparel sales, preferably as a Sales Rep, encouraged
  • Prospecting is your greatest strength (you love the hunt)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and exceed sales targets
  • Strong closing skills; ability to listen and ask the right questions to get customers exactly what they need
  • Proficiency in using sales software and CRM systems, including Salesforce
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proactive in making sure customers have product at the ready

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of resort apparel market trends and customer preferences preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers, including: retailers, resorts, hotels, bars, boutiques, gift shops, and other businesses focused on providing custom merch for their retail customers
  • Promote and provide in-depth knowledge of our resort apparel products, highlighting their quality, uniqueness, and the overall Yesterdays brand
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions and sales pipelines
  • Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities to expand your customer base
  • Collaborate with our internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of orders and projects
  • Keep customers informed about new product launches, promotions and industry trends
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and exceeding expectations
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and market conditions to identify areas for improvement and growth
