About The Position

The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales opportunities and managing a designated sales territory. This role involves maintaining customer relationships, accurately forecasting sales, and addressing customer issues to ensure satisfaction. The representative will work closely with the Sales District Manager to develop strategies that support growth targets and will be expected to meet or exceed sales quotas.

Requirements

  • Strong sales drive and proven ability to exceed sales quotas.
  • Bachelor's degree in a life sciences discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of laboratory or customer-facing experience, preferably in life sciences.
  • Technical competency in product knowledge and application.
  • Strong understanding of the consultative sales approach.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Good time management skills for balancing sales activities and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with CRM systems preferred.
  • Excellent presentation skills for clear communication.

Responsibilities

  • Generate opportunities from various sources including leads and market studies.
  • Maintain and manage a sales territory, including sales targets and customer relationships.
  • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts and report updates to the District Manager.
  • Accurately manage and record sales data using SAP CRM, Outlook, or spreadsheets.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing and sales strategies to support growth targets.
  • Assess local market trends to identify challenges and opportunities for business growth.
  • Address and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relations to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Leverage internal resources and tools to support territory strategies and growth initiatives.
  • Assist with sales communication to clients and prospects in assigned territories.
  • Provide insight and direction to optimize territory alignment with sales accounts.
