The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) at O'Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for managing and growing professional customer accounts within a designated territory. This role focuses on increasing sales volume, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring the efficient operation of the territory. The TSM will work closely with store managers and engage in regular customer interactions to promote company products and programs, while also addressing customer service issues and supporting business growth.

  • Call on assigned and new Professional Customer Accounts.
  • Maintain customer base and increase sales volume on assigned accounts.
  • Average 18 - 22 calls per day to manage accounts effectively.
  • Pursue new prospective accounts with a goal of two to five weekly cold calls.
  • Promote and provide training on company programs to build relationships with professional customers.
  • Ensure assigned accounts have a set call schedule in the Sales Call Management Tool.
  • Communicate plans and action items with store managers prior to customer calls.
  • Address and support customer service issues that hinder business growth.
  • Collaborate with RFSM, DM, and SM to maintain excellent customer service.
  • Serve as a liaison between stores and Professional Customers on sensitive issues.
  • Utilize information from TeamNet communication systems to enhance business compliance.
  • Complete assigned LMS to maximize field skills and support customer growth.
  • Review and provide information for reports supporting territory operations.
  • Remain alert for competitive situations and keep management informed.
  • Attend all scheduled calls and meetings as directed.
  • Participate in trade shows and training classes as scheduled.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of auto repair, parts, equipment, and systems.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Basic computer and typing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Technical training or schooling.
  • TSM Track in Fast Track Training.
