About The Position

The TSM position is responsible for calling on assigned and new Professional Customer Accounts. The objectives include working with assigned store managers to achieve consistent professional account sales growth through the sales of company products and professional program offerings. The role requires projecting the proper O'Reilly image and following policies and procedures to ensure the territory operates as economically and efficiently as possible.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of auto repair, parts, equipment, and systems.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Basic computer and typing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Reliable Transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain customer base and increase sales volume on assigned accounts, averaging 18 - 22 calls per day.
  • Manage accounts to best serve the professional customer and maintain up-to-date records for each account.
  • Grow business by remaining competitive and maximizing profit opportunities.
  • Pursue new, prospective accounts with a goal of two to five weekly cold calls.
  • Promote and provide training on company programs to build relationships with professional customers.
  • Ensure assigned accounts have a set call schedule in the Sales Call Management Tool.
  • Provide customer service support to address issues that deter business growth.
  • Work with credit and store managers to correct collection problems with Professional Customers.
  • Serve as a liaison between stores and Professional Customers on labor claims and sensitive issues.
  • Utilize information from weekly TeamNet communications to enhance business compliance.
  • Communicate promptly via the Sales Call Management Tool and other channels.
  • Complete assigned and extra credit LMS to maximize field skills and remain compliant.
  • Review and provide information for reports supporting territory operations.
  • Attend all scheduled calls and meetings as directed.
  • Participate in trade shows and training classes as scheduled.
  • Maintain a professional image and adhere to the Field Apparel Program.
