About The Position

ROCKWOOL is seeking a Territory Sales Manager for the San Diego and Arizona region. This role requires a professional with high energy and a proven track record of success, embodying ROCKWOOL™ values of ambition, responsibility, integrity, and efficiency. The successful candidate must be based in the greater San Diego area and will report to the Regional Sales Manager, with no direct reports. The position involves significant travel, specifically 60% overall travel with 40% overnight travel. The Territory Sales Manager will join a passionate Western Sales Team focused on increasing market share in commercial building materials. This role is a critical link between ROCKWOOL and its customers, ensuring they receive stone wool solutions that address their challenges and improve everyday lives. Requirements

  • Prior technical sales experience in the building materials industry is a MUST
  • Construction/Architectural industries Understanding of the commercial and residential construction process
  • College degree
  • High drive, commitment, energy and integrity
  • Expertise presenting and training
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Professional communication skills – both written and oral
  • Solid computer skills – MS Office Suite and CRM
  • 60% travel with ability to travel overnights 40% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing business and expand ROCKWOOL’s position as a major supplier of stone wool insulation to the entire building insulation sector in the territory.
  • Develop and nurture robust business relationships with customers and industry professionals including but not limited to insulation and building material distributors, retail/LBM locations, builders and contractors.
  • Maintain awareness of local competitive conditions in the assigned area.
  • Achieve established sales and profit goals while operating within the allocated expense budget.
