The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) at Crane1 plays a crucial role in developing long-term relationships with existing customers and cultivating new business partnerships. This position emphasizes a consultative sales approach, focusing on customer service rather than hard sales tactics. The TSM is responsible for providing solutions related to overhead material handling equipment, leveraging their sales expertise and product knowledge to meet customer needs.

  • Exhibit proven sales experience in B2B industrial or commercial sales to top management or plant management.
  • Build long-term business partnerships through telemarketing, referrals, networking, cold-calls, and direct visits.
  • Support, develop, and retain customers by enhancing their productivity and plant safety with quality overhead material handling systems.
  • Follow up on leads, referrals, and customer inquiries generated by the branch and associates.
  • Meet with potential customers to provide information and educate them on Crane1 products and services.
  • Generate and present service quotes and proposals to potential customers.
  • Maintain awareness of customer budgets and competitive threats, ensuring quotes are competitive.
  • Foster positive, trusting relationships with all accounts and act as a liaison between Crane1 and the customer.
  • Schedule periodic customer site visits to maintain strong relationships.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly production meetings at the branch.
  • Articulate and execute the Crane1 Advantage in the territory.
  • Collaborate with the new business development team to grow the territory.
  • Manage the sales funnel process as part of routine work.
  • Minimum of 5 years' industrial service outside B2B sales experience or a combination of education and experience demonstrating a proven track record in the industrial service field.
  • A competitive nature to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A passion for providing top-notch customer service.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements.
