HORIBA is seeking a territory sales Manager who is passionate about technical sales while mentoring and engaging with fellow sales engineers within the territory. This manager will retain their own sales commitments but will strategically engage within the territory through prospecting and planning with the team. The territory manager will report directly to the National Sales Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline, Masters or Ph.D. preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • 50% Travel required.
  • Minimum of Five (5) Years Sales experience with some managerial experience required.
  • Sales training must have been provided from a reputable Sales Training Program/Company.
  • Technical, capital equipment and optical / spectroscopy experience a requirement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Power Point, Excel, CRM, and Digital Marketing.
  • Must reside within the territory, which can include the Northwest as well as the Mid-Atlantic States.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, desire to deliver results.
  • Fast, self-direct learning.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with the territory sales engineers to strategize and execute plans for selling company solutions and products across various fields and markets including Energy, Semiconductor, Life Sciences, and Material Sciences.
  • Sell various tools and solutions that include fluorescence, Raman, XRF, Optical Spectroscopy Components and Custom Systems.
  • Expand business in existing accounts and secure business from new accounts.
  • Analyze information and data to develop a territory plan to achieve financial objectives.
  • Maximize call and travel schedules, targeting specific accounts and applications.
  • Engage with company market specialists to engage across various markets and fields.
  • Maintain client satisfaction through consistent and ongoing client contact and engagement.
  • Call on prospective clients to create demand and communicate relevant scientific discussions.
  • Deliver product and technical information, plan and attend demonstrations, and prepare quotes and proposals.
  • Attend local trade shows and maintain a digital marketing portfolio via LinkedIn, ResearchGate, and more.
  • Stay current with market trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products and solutions.
  • Ensure that SalesForce, the local CRM, is up to date for easy reporting and analyzing of critical information.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
