About The Position

The Territory Sales Manager for the Great Lakes region will be responsible for ensuring that Vive’s FC portfolio sales objectives across Michigan, Northern Indiana, and Ohio are met. This role is integral to the company’s success, requiring an excellent understanding of the US agricultural marketplace and past experience in agricultural sales. The incumbent will work to expand Vive’s market position, sales, and relationships with existing and new distribution key accounts. The position demands a self-driven individual who is passionate about winning and representing a unique product line in a competitive agricultural marketplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 5 or more years of experience in field sales in agriculture.
  • Sound agronomic understanding of crop protection products and their use.
  • Experience in the liquid fertilizer or biological market is a plus.
  • Experience managing and calling on ag retailers, key growers, and ag distributors.
  • Experience launching new products and/or technologies into the ag marketplace.
  • Excellent understanding of the agricultural marketplace within the Great Lakes region.
  • Excellent agronomic knowledge and ability to apply it in supporting differentiated product selling.
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships with customers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective in small team settings driving collaborative approaches.
  • Self-driven individual who is passionate about winning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute distribution and retail business plans including sales forecasts and new market opportunities.
  • Develop relationships and business influence with distributor and retail accounts, COI partners, and key growers.
  • Co-develop and execute new crop protection programs and ideas within key crops.
  • Ensure Vive’s FC portfolio sales objectives are achieved in the Great Lakes region.
  • Update key information in CRM to provide market intelligence.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and business plans supporting customer needs.
  • Establish productive relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Provide innovative ideas for business growth using market and business knowledge.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to support customer feedback.
  • Support overall culture and business growth across all departments.
