Gallagher is seeking a motivated Territory Manager to lead sales and business development to expand market share across Idaho, Washington, Eastern Oregon and Alaska. The ideal candidate will reside in or near Boise, Idaho or Pendleton, Oregon. This role proactively identifies, develops, and converts new opportunities through strategic prospecting, participation in industry and regional events, collaboration with USDA and agricultural extension programs, and pursuit of municipal, government, and institutional projects. Acting as a trusted advisor, the Territory Manager represents Gallagher Animal Management by delivering consultative solutions, leading sales and promotional initiatives, and supporting customers and stakeholders throughout the full opportunity lifecycle. The role comes with a company vehicle and fuel card as the majority of your time will be spent on the road visiting farms, ranches, retail partners and prospective customers.

Requirements

  • A passion for agriculture and a strong understanding of farm/ranch operations.
  • Are a natural relationship builder with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Are self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.
  • Enjoy being on the road and engaging directly with customers.
  • Are confident presenting and demonstrating products in both one-on-one and group settings.
  • Can troubleshoot and recommend solutions with a consultative approach.
  • Are tech-savvy and able to use CRM tools to manage your territory effectively.
  • Are flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and travel demands.
  • A 4-year college degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous Territory Management experience in the agricultural marketplace.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight travel.
  • Proven track record of strong sales growth and achievement.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute an approved regional sales and business development plan aligned to growth and market expansion objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional dealer network, farmers, agricultural extension offices and other industry organizations
  • Deploy category management techniques.
  • Devise and execute demand creation activities.
  • Actively seek opportunities for on-farm sales of products and services.
  • Undertake regular training and demonstrations of products and services to farmers and dealers.
  • Identify Farm/Ranch calls/Field days monthly to develop territory.
  • Develop end user contacts or end user meetings monthly to establish more sales.
  • Map and prioritize target markets, applications, and customer segments to build a sustainable pipeline of new business
  • Provide instore merchandising including end caps, setting displays and POP materials.
  • Travel extensively within the territory to maximize growth potential.
  • Use CRM tools to plan, track, and report on activities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers and stakeholders by understanding operational needs and recommending appropriate Gallagher solutions
  • Actively evaluate market and feedback any relative information on competitor activities or initiatives.
  • Consult and provide end users and dealers with troubleshooting expertise and appropriate product selection.
