About The Position

As a Territory Manager – Outside Sales, you’ll be the face of Belt Power in your territory—developing strong customer relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and delivering value-added solutions. You’ll work closely with your Business Unit Leader (BUL), Inside Sales, and cross-functional teams to build a strategic pipeline, expand market penetration, and exceed growth objectives. This is a consultative, hands-on sales role ideal for someone who thrives in the field, understands industrial customers, and enjoys turning challenges into long-term partnerships.

Requirements

  • Previous outside sales experience in industrial distribution (preferred)
  • Experience with conveyors and/or automation (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of CRM and/or ERP systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as business needs require
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with existing customers to ensure retention and profitable growth
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for National, OEM, and Regional Accounts, managing communication and project coordination
  • Drive revenue by promoting and selling Belt Power solutions through a relationship-based, consultative sales approach
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within your territory
  • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline to support consistent growth
  • Meet or exceed territory growth goals and assigned KPIs
  • Collaborate with adjacent Territory Managers, Inside Sales, suppliers, and manufacturers on joint calls and opportunities
  • Support successful shop participation and product/service implementation by working cross-functionally
  • Participate in trade shows, conventions, and networking events to generate leads and strengthen market presence
  • Track sales activity, analyze reports, and provide timely updates on pipeline and performance
  • Provide customer feedback and market insights to leadership regarding trends, competition, and new opportunities
  • Demonstrate products and assist customers in selecting the best solutions for their operations
  • Maintain a structured call plan to ensure proactive and consistent customer engagement
  • Represent Belt Power professionally at all times and uphold company culture and safety standards
  • Wear required PPE and follow all safety regulations
