About The Position

The Territory Manager will be a key production member reporting to the SVP, Head of Canada Branch. The primary goal of this position is to develop and execute business development plans to drive PURE's growth in their specified territories. PURE is a member-owned property and casualty insurer designed exclusively for financially successful families and driven by a purpose of doing what is right for its members. The reciprocal model focuses on service and doing what is right for the membership: providing exceptional service, hospitality and care, partnering with members to help prevent losses, and creating smart insurance solutions at fair prices. Requirements

  • 5+ years of personal lines property and casualty insurance experience in sales, marketing, or underwriting.
  • Frequent travel within assigned territory.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Comfort level calling on wealth advisors and other centers of influence.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Agile learner who can quickly absorb information and apply it to current business situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, lead, and inspire others.
  • Demonstrated progression of increasing responsibility.
  • Extraordinary at multi-tasking.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly establish trust and credibility.
  • Consistently exhibit team spirit and enthusiasm.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary business development partner for a defined set of brokers.
  • Conduct regular meetings and sales calls to broker partners to execute defined plans, measure progress, and achieve established KPI’s.
  • Identify, appoint, and effectively onboard new brokers.
  • Implement strategies to increase production with the intent of writing profitable business.
  • Increase large account production among a short list of specified broker partners.
  • Proactively manage underperforming brokers, as needed.
  • Build relationships and positive awareness of PURE among important COIs.
  • Explore/advance new partnerships and programs to grow the PURE membership including; Family Offices, Wealth Management Firms, Risk Management firms, Real Estate, etc.
  • Establish personal relationships with a network of influential PURE promoters who unsolicited and willingly share their enthusiasm for PURE with others.
  • Actively participate and collaborate with key internal stakeholders for the development of the region/territory growth and profit plan and oversee its successful execution.
