Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
  • Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills.
  • Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team based selling model.
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed.
  • Sell to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business.
  • Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor your sales approach to individual customers.
  • Manage time and territory effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening.
  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Develop new business by identifying prospective customers utilizing market intelligence databases, business directories, leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (e.g., delivery mis picks, short on loads, stock-outs).
  • Know the market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services provided.
  • Drive your personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check ins, site visits and follow ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
