About the position

The New Business Development role focuses on expanding market opportunities for a leading company in organic waste collection and renewable energy services. This position is centered on building relationships, presenting solutions, and managing projects within the Orlando, FL region, contributing to the company's growth in the green revolution.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders in the renewable energy industry.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to devise strategies for market expansion.
  • Present renewable energy solutions and services to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and develop tailored proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new partnerships and projects.
  • Oversee the successful execution of projects within the territory, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and services to clients.
  • Monitor project performance, resolve any issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about local and national regulations related to renewable energy and ensure compliance for all projects.
  • Assist clients in navigating the permitting and regulatory processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, project progress, and client communications.
  • Prepare regular reports on the status of projects, sales performance, and market insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a relevant field (e.g., Business, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, etc.).
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or project management in the renewable energy sector.
  • Experience in Organic Waste, Renewable Energy, or Recycling Programs is a huge plus.
  • Specific experience within waste management is a huge plus.
  • Ability to cold call and set in-person meetings.
  • Self-sufficient, with the ability to manage your own schedule and travel as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing market conditions.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in waste management or recycling programs.
  • Familiarity with local and national renewable energy regulations.

Benefits

  • Remote role in Orlando FL Region with travel across the region.
  • Base salary of $100-125k + uncapped variable compensation.
