Shaw Industries Canada is looking to hire a Territory Manager to maintain and grow sales of its Shaw Floors, Anderson Tuftex, and COREtec flooring brands. A Territory Manager works to maintains and increase Shaw’s profitability and market share in a their geographical area. They accomplish this through the development of great relationships with their specialty retail flooring dealer customers based on product knowledge, exceptional service, trust and integrity. Business growth is accomplished through implementing major market programs, services, and sample placement. This position covers Southwestern Ontario market (Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, London, Windsor, St. Catharines/Niagara, Guelph). Home office based in London, ON area and must live in the overall territory to be considered.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and at least 1 year of sales experience.
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse group of customers (via email, phone, virtual video, and in person).
  • Ability to use a laptop computer and basic Microsoft Windows software including MS Office.
  • Physically able to assemble and take down display fixtures; ability to lift more than 50lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to drive and travel in a vehicle that can carry a number of product sample boards (van or an approved SUV).
  • Reside within the SW Ontario territory.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience in flooring, building products, or home décor.
  • Experience managing a territory with multiple accounts and driving growth through dealer relationships.
  • Familiarity with specialty retail and/or interior design trade.
  • Proven ability to analyze sales data and execute strategic account plans.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to influence decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Daily sales calls on existing customers with special emphasis on Residential brands Anderson Tuftex and COREtec flooring products, samples, displays, adhesive, and related floor products.
  • Present products to retail dealers, designers, and end-users; analyze leads provided by corporate reports.
  • Sell and construct display racks weighing 50lbs.
  • Continually prospect for viable new accounts while developing awareness of market trends.
  • Implement major market programs and sample placement strategies.
  • Prepare and communicate periodic sales reports outlining actual sales, goals, competitive conditions, and product needs.
  • Analyze sales statistics by reviewing reports specific to territory to aid in formulating goals and to assist dealers in promoting sales.
  • Enter all customer interactions and key information into Salesforce.com.
  • Analyze and control travel and entertainment expenditures as well as sample budget to conform to budgetary requirements.
