About The Position
As a Territory Manager for PGT Innovations, you will be responsible for selling products for Western Window Systems to both existing and prospective customers. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining and growing your sales territory, adhering to the guidelines set by the Regional Sales Manager. You will compile lists of potential customers from various sources, including newspapers, business directories, industry advertisements, trade shows, and online platforms, to generate sales leads. Your responsibilities will include traveling throughout your assigned territory to engage with customers, either in person or via phone, to solicit orders and discuss product offerings. In this position, you will demonstrate products using samples or catalogs, highlighting their features and benefits. You will also provide guidance to customers on proper installation techniques to ensure that products function correctly and comply with relevant building codes. Addressing customer complaints will be a key part of your role, requiring you to use your discretion to resolve issues effectively. You will participate in sales forecasting for your territory, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel and CRM systems to track and manage sales data. Your duties will also involve quoting prices and credit terms, preparing sales contracts, and estimating delivery dates based on production schedules. Collaboration with inside sales representatives will be essential to keep account activities and marketing literature current. You will have the opportunity to participate in local Building Association meetings and trade shows to showcase Western products. Maintaining strong working relationships with various departments, including Credit/Collections, Customer Service, Marketing, and Transportation, will be crucial to managing the customer experience from sales through installation. Additionally, you will assist in resolving delivery issues and support marketing efforts by administering promotions and sales support to customers.
