About The Position

The Territory Development Representative (TDR) is responsible for driving sales performance within an assigned customer base, focusing on both key and new accounts. This role requires collaboration with regional and corporate resources to capture business opportunities, increase supplier diversity, and meet or exceed sales targets. The TDR must be data-driven, self-motivated, and capable of making informed business decisions while effectively communicating PEI's value proposition to customers. This position is fully remote, covering Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico, and is ideal for someone with experience in selling electronic components or cable assemblies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years customer-facing experience required.
  • 5 years of sales experience preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in inside sales or field sales preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in the electronics industry is a plus, but not required.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • Previous experience selling connectors, electronic components, and/or cable assemblies is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual budget targets while developing a high-potential customer portfolio with an emphasis on OEM and cable assembly targets.
  • Promote PEI's corporate vision and ICARE values to encourage teamwork, continual improvement, customer focus, and ethical behavior.
  • Utilize NetSuite CRM as the primary sales tool for data-driven decisions and communication regarding growth targets and sales leads.
  • Develop industry-leading product knowledge to become a well-informed technical advisor within the assigned territory.
  • Execute strategic plans set by Regional and Branch leadership to maximize effectiveness.
  • Influence financial and operational success by setting and tracking individual goals and objectives.
  • Provide routine updates to the Branch Manager and Regional Sales Manager on territory strategies and notable account developments.
  • Build relationships with internal and external customers, recognizing the value of relationships with procurement, engineering, and key decision-makers.
  • Prospect strategic business accounts and targeted companies through cold calling, emailing, and social networking.
  • Plan travel strategically to facilitate business growth through in-person meetings.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Product Management to penetrate and grow accounts within the customer base.
  • Utilize regional resources to drive design-in sales growth and achieve year-over-year growth targets.
  • Engage with local suppliers and participate in supplier business reviews to discuss top customers and growth opportunities.
  • Stay informed of competitor activities, industry trends, and emerging markets to defend and grow PEI's market share.
  • Maintain a healthy sales and design pipeline by qualifying new leads and exploring growth potential at key accounts.
  • Escalate critical situations concerning sales and customer activities to the appropriate manager.
