About The Position

The Territory Business Manager - Alpha-1 is responsible for driving sales and managing business within the Chicago South territory. This role focuses on achieving sales quotas through new patient starts, sales in outpatient infusion centers and hospitals, and patient retention on Takeda's augmentation treatment. The position requires building relationships with healthcare professionals and executing a territory business tactical plan to maximize opportunities while ensuring compliance with promotional policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated successful relevant healthcare experience required.
  • Clinical sales background is essential.
  • Understanding of customer motivations and needs.
  • Organizational and territory planning skills.
  • Experience working with payor and reimbursement challenges.
  • Ability to excel in both team and individual contributor settings.
  • Effective at acquiring and interpreting data to create sales strategies.
  • Experience with specialty biologics and working with specialty pharmacies preferred.
  • Knowledge of Plasma Derived Therapies, Rare diseases, or Biotech is desirable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on specialty medications.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical sales.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales quotas through driving new patient starts and retention of patients on Takeda augmentation treatment.
  • Educate and inform healthcare professionals on Takeda brands for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.
  • Build the National Sales and Marketing Strategy and create a territory business tactical plan.
  • Call on prospective customers and provide technical and administrative product information and demonstrations.
  • Work in partnership with home office personnel, marketing/brand team, and national and corporate account teams.
  • Conduct community education events for healthcare professionals and patients.
