About The Position

Responsible for being the primary contact between our company and our customers, aiding customers in product design and material selection. Responsible for generating quote opportunities, closing new business, managing customer expectations, and ensuring that we are our customers’ first choice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or three to five years of related sales experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong work ethic and prospecting skills, paired with the ability to cultivate and grow existing accounts.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team based, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read part drawings and understanding the basics of part designs.
  • Understanding of process flow from a manufacturing standpoint.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Remarkable time management, problem solving and multitasking skills.
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft applications & Salesforce is beneficial.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral. Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, and customary business documents. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients and customers in small or large group settings.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply mathematical principles to assist in developing pricing and margin strategies, budgets, forecasts, measurement and specification interpretation, review, and development.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to analyze and interpret a variety of technical information or instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.

Responsibilities

  • Seek new business opportunities with existing and new customers.
  • Work with customers and our engineering department to establish new part designs that meet specifications focusing on feasibility for our processes.
  • Initiate and manage prototype requirements including timing and parts.
  • Respond to customer requests for pricing and follow up for feedback.
  • Maintain and ensure all processes are followed and monitored.
  • Ensure closing and tracking all opportunities using Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal departments to ensure all customers’ needs are addressed.
  • Build strong relationships to maintain existing accounts and acquire new accounts.
  • Be available to work irregular hours and travel when necessary, including overnights when needed.
  • Perform tasks effectively amidst pressure and deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
