About The Position

The Terrain Park Manager plays a critical leadership role in the mountain operations team, responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, and daily operations of the ski area’s terrain parks. This position balances hands-on feature building with administrative oversight, including staff supervision, and interdepartmental coordination. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, innovation, safety awareness, and attention to detail while cultivating an exciting and progressive guest experience.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in terrain park operations, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Advanced skiing or snowboarding skills; ability to safely navigate all terrain.
  • Knowledge of terrain park feature construction, maintenance tools, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors for long hours in varying weather, including extreme cold.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, construction, and maintenance of terrain park features including jumps, rails, and boxes.
  • Oversee daily, nightly, and weekly inspections and maintenance to ensure safety, consistency, and functionality.
  • Champion the Park Etiquette and Education Program (PEEPS) to promote safe riding behavior.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of terrain park staff.
  • Foster a professional and safety-driven culture with a focus on guest service.
  • Represent the resort in weekly corporate terrain park meetings to share best practices across Boyne Resorts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, grooming, snowmaking, and ski patrol to ensure seamless operations and event success.
