Innovation Technician
About The Position
This role is for a Termite Technician within the Rentokil family of companies, a global leader in Pest Control. The primary purpose of this position is to utilize expertise to protect customers' properties from wood-destroying organisms. As a Termite Technician, you will be the first line of defense in preserving and safeguarding properties through inspections, prevention, and treatment services, providing peace of mind and comfort to customers. Requirements
- Clean shaven face- for safety reasons (rebreathers have to be able to seal your face)
- High school diploma or GED
- Must posses a valid driver's license from state of residence
- At least 1 years of customer service
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Be flexible with working hours, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)
- Basic math skills — add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to follow instructions for mixing on product labels
- Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations
- Prepare the job site for treatment
- Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders
- Comfortable working 20 feet up on a ladder along with working in small confined spaces
- Ability to work on a roofs and high areas
- Regularly sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), like an OSHA-compliant respirator
- Okay with regularly working in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways (anywhere the critters live)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in termite control is a plus
- General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience is plus
Responsibilities
- Identify customer’s termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps
- Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
- Applying anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions
- Communicate to the customer critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity discuss procedures and structural modifications, which may be supplemental to treatment process
- Verifying that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
- Completing production forms documenting services provided
- Interacting with customers and explaining services provided
