About The Position

The Terminal Support Clerk position is designed to provide support to Fairbanks terminal and Mechanical personnel. The role involves various responsibilities including driving tracks, entering payment information, and performing vehicle support tasks. The position is initially open to ARW represented employees for the first six days of the posting, after which it will be open to all applicants if no qualified candidates apply.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write numbers accurately.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to safely operate an ARRC vehicle.
• Must have basic computer data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Drives the tracks and writes down car numbers to ensure accurate train lists are created for train crews.
• Drives crews to and from trains at various locations along the rail belt and in the yard as needed.
• Enters payment information into JD Edwards and creates Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs) at Mechanical Department's direction.
• Expedites parts and supplies in Fairbanks for the Mechanical Department.
• Performs terminal vehicle support, including fueling vehicles, performing vehicle inspections, and shuttling vehicles.
• Performs some laborer duties.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as needed.
