Terminal Sterilization Operators must work effectively as a member of a team to accomplish all assigned tasks. This position reports directly to Supervision and will make recommendations for improvement/optimization regularly. Responsible for the daily coordination and sterilization of finished product. Performs Preventative Maintenance tasks on the terminal sterilizers. Responsible for sterilizer cycle review, troubleshooting of sterilizer problems, documentation of problems, and retrieval and delivery of product samples. Coordination with Maintenance personnel for repair of sterilizers. Operates mechanical equipment to execute each specific product code sterilization cycle. Monitors sterilizer cycle progression and troubleshoots cycle aberrations. Cross-functional coordination to optimize sterilizer capacity. Ensure documentation is accurate and complete for each sterilization cycle. Ensures equipment operates at specifications for calibration, maintenance, and validation. Provides feedback to supervisor and peers about cycle status, equipment condition, and other issues that would affect the production schedule or relate to continuous improvement. Complies with company policies, cGMP’s, safety, and good housekeeping practices. Assists as necessary during calibrations, PM’s, inspections, and new product protocols. Assists in training new employees and training on new procedures in scheduled time frame. Submits work orders and/or CCRs to repair equipment when necessary. Submits changes to SOPs using either DCR format or Documentum. Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
