About The Position

The position is located in Curtis Bay, MD, and involves various responsibilities related to the handling and shipment of products at the terminal. The role requires compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring quality assurance, coordinating product receipt and shipment, and maintaining terminal property and equipment. The individual will also be responsible for safety compliance, environmental policy adherence, and managing inventory policies. The position may require extended working hours and the ability to operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company policies and applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ensure Quikrete Quality Assurance Policy is fully implemented; take samples and send for analysis.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, handling, and shipment of all products.
  • Unload vessels using crane ship unloaders or vacuum ship unloaders.
  • Load trucks from flat storage using a front-end loader as needed.
  • Maintain terminal property and equipment.
  • Maintain terminal, equipment/facility housekeeping as needed.
  • Perform industrial maintenance and inspections on equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure mobile and stationary equipment inspection programs are fully implemented and followed.
  • Ensure all data in Quikrete systems pertaining to terminal inventories, product received and shipped is accurate.
  • Coordinate rail and truck receiving/dispatch with CVC, truck and rail teams.
  • Coordinate loading hours with Quikrete Ready Mix facilities and transportation companies.
  • Coordinate terminal shipping activities with sales office, customers, trucking firms, distribution personnel, suppliers, government officials, and manufacturing locations.
  • Manage compliance with the Quikrete Safety Program to ensure personnel and contractors are working safely.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental policy and communicate issues to the Terminal Manager or Operations Manager.
  • Ensure the terminal runs efficiently and in compliance with safety regulations and Quikrete policies.
  • Manage inventory policies by ensuring daily records are accurate.
  • Work extended hours if needed to meet operational demands.
  • Promote Quikrete name/brand and ensure good community stewardship.
  • Perform rail loading and unloading as required.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
