The Terminal Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the onsite rail, pipeline, barge and truck rack equipment and duties. Job Description: Job Responsibilities Timely sampling, loading, and unloading of petroleum and LPG products by rail, truck, barge, and pipeline, including operations within a Process Safety Management (PSM)-covered facility Maintain accurate stock inventory in designated storage areas, including pressurized LPG systems Proper completion of all records related to plant shipments, regulatory documentation, and PSM compliance requirements Monitor loading and unloading operations, operate machinery, and oversee control systems in both atmospheric and pressurized environments Advise shift supervision on safety, environmental, quality, maintenance, and production issues, with emphasis on PSM-covered processes Follow all required programs and policies including Lockout Tagout (LOTO), PSM procedures, and safe handling practices for LPGs Take samples, perform analyses, and conduct measurements to verify product quality, including LPG specifications Perform field operation of equipment across the facility, including pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, and LPG transfer systems Operate forklift and other mobile equipment in a safe and compliant manner Maintain work areas and ensure high standards of housekeeping, especially in hazardous classified areas Timely sampling, loading, and unloading of petroleum and LPG products by rail, truck, barge, and pipeline, including operations within a Process Safety Management (PSM)-covered facility Maintain accurate stock inventory in designated storage areas, including pressurized LPG systems Proper completion of all records related to plant shipments, regulatory documentation, and PSM compliance requirements Monitor loading and unloading operations, operate machinery, and oversee control systems in both atmospheric and pressurized environments Advise shift supervision on safety, environmental, quality, maintenance, and production issues, with emphasis on PSM-covered processes Follow all required programs and policies including Lockout Tagout (LOTO), PSM procedures, and safe handling practices for LPGs Take samples, perform analyses, and conduct measurements to verify product quality, including LPG specifications Perform field operation of equipment across the facility, including pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, and LPG transfer systems Operate forklift and other mobile equipment in a safe and compliant manner Maintain work areas and ensure high standards of housekeeping, especially in hazardous classified areas Maintain regular communication with other departments to coordinate operations and ensure safe execution of work Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as needed Provide emergency response and unscheduled repairs during operations, including response to PSM-related incidents Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, repair and replace parts, and test equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly operational and compliance reports accurately Perform preventive and predictive maintenance in accordance with PSM mechanical integrity programs Inform management of potential operational, safety, or equipment issues, particularly those impacting process safety Maintain all Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards as they relate to terminal and LPG operations Assist in developing, implementing, and enforcing terminal safety policies, including PSM elements such as MOC, PHA awareness, and safe work practices Support Operators and Maintenance Technicians as needed across both petroleum and LPG systems Execute clear and thorough shift handoff communications, including status of PSM-critical equipment Complete all tasks assigned by Terminal Management with a strong focus on safety and compliance Participate in ongoing safety programs, PSM training, and emergency response drills Promote strict adherence to all safety and environmental policies, with emphasis on hazardous materials and LPG handling Conduct petroleum and LPG product transfers at a pipeline terminal facility, including daily maintenance and inventory control Demonstrate working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations, including mechanical integrity, management of change, and operating procedures Demonstrate understanding of LPG properties, hazards, and safe handling practices in a terminal environment Ability and willingness to work night shift and respond to callouts as required Perform other duties as assigned Demonstrate working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations, including mechanical integrity, management of change, and operating procedures Demonstrate understanding of LPG properties, hazards, and safe handling practices in a terminal environment Ability and willingness to work night shift and respond to callouts as required Perform other duties as assigned
