About The Position

This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and quality-conscious unloading and loading of liquid products to or from trucks, barges, rail cars, and storage tanks. Assure the work being performed consistently meets or exceeds the expectations of the supervisor, as well as policies and procedures. Previous experience with terminal operations including hazardous chemicals is a plus. Requirements

Ability to read, write, and speak clearly
Good math and computer skills
Willing to obtain training/certifications as required/ needed
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Communicate effectively orally (face to face and by phone) and in writing
Accept supervisor direction and work effectively & co-operatively with other people
Willing to work overtime hours during the week, weekends and holidays depending on business demands
Able to withstand extreme weather conditions, per majority of work is performed outside.
Climb tank stairs, manually open and close valves, occasionally moving or lifting up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for long periods of time
Must not have fear of water or heights

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with terminal operations including hazardous chemicals is a plus.
Marine industry and welding experience is highly desired

Responsibilities

Work with crews loading and unloading product from trucks, rail cars, and barges safely into proper tanks
Diagnose problems and maintain a variety of bulk handling equipment
Perform work area/facility housekeeping functions
Sample products in tanks, vessels, trucks, and rail cars
Safely handle hazard products
Respond to trouble shooting or maintenance on facility equipment
Perform any other type of terminal function as trained or instructed by supervisor
Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
Familiar with or the ability to learn to use basic hand tools
Perform work in a strict accordance with safety policies, Environmental, and Health procedures
Valid driver's license
