About The Position

Performs duties as outlined by the Terminal Manager related to the receipt and shipment of petroleum products via pipeline, dock, and truck to include but not limited to: - Inspects terminal and pipeline equipment to insure integrity. - Utilizes the terminal automation system to complete daily inventory and rack activity reports. - Monitors volumes, makes product switches, and ensures maximum and minimum volumes are not exceeded. - Reviews valve line-ups with operations counterparts; starting and stopping pumps. - Makes grade switches, monitors for interfaces, and makes valve lineup changes. - Ensures proper measurement techniques are being followed. - Gauges, samples and analyzes product as instructed by Terminal Manager. - Reads meters, collects samples and performs various lab tests as necessary. - Unloads gasoline additive shipments as required. - Coordinates sampling times with customers. - Monitors gate activity, and facility security. - Assists maintenance and operations with various duties. - Mows tank farms and associated property. - Ensures company vehicles and equipment are properly maintained. - Operates start up and shut down procedures for vapor recovery systems. - Adheres to Valero’s HSE policies must be applied at all times. This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). It is Valero’s policy that employees must wear this card at all times while working at the refinery. Please review eligibility criteria at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience in terminal operations preferred.
