We have an exciting opportunity for a Terminal Operations Manager to be responsible for the supervision of employees and managing the day-to-day operations at our refrigerated LP Gas storage terminal, while ensuring compliance with applicable Federal, State and local laws, as well as Company policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or related work experience
  • 5 years’ experience as a manager working in the LP-Gas industry or related field
  • Familiar with fuel industry concepts, practices and procedures including related government regulations, attained through a minimum of 5-7 years of related technical and/or management experience
  • Good understanding of oil and/or LPG bulk storage and related distribution systems (training is provided)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Company and Government safety, policy and regulatory standards are met at all times while enforcing safe work practices throughout the plant
  • Maximize productivity by managing efficiency and productivity standards
  • Oversee the daily workload, project workforce and material needed for safe operations
  • Recruit and retain employees who possess knowledge, experience and behavioral skills that will help the plant achieve its optimal performance
  • Ensures all employees receive required training/certifications associated with their job functions
  • Acts as liaison between emergency responders, federal, state, county and city agencies
  • Assists the Terminal Manager, coordinating repairs for equipment breakdowns, malfunctions and routine PM’s
  • Coach, motivate and energize team members to achieve maximum potential and optimal safety results
  • Monitor employee performance, implement individual development plans and activities, initiate and coordinate training and incentive plans, and evaluate employees against clear performance standards and Company policies
  • Assists the Terminal Manager in controlling costs, establishing budgets and LPG inventory
  • Oversee subcontractors and permit requirements
