About The Position

The Terminal Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the terminal, ensuring efficiency, productivity, safety, and compliance with company policies. This role leads and manages terminal staff, ensures customer satisfaction, and coordinates logistics and inventory to support smooth and timely operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Must live within 60 miles of terminal
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • High level of integrity and a hands-on, detail-oriented approach
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Willingness to be on call 24/7 and work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Commitment to upholding company values and goals

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the transportation or trucking industry
  • Experience in the fuel or lubricant distribution industry
  • CDL Class A license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant terminal operations in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Oversee inventory management and product movement to maintain optimal levels
  • Ensure timely and accurate order processing and on-time deliveries
  • Enforce DOT compliance and safety protocols across terminal operations
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and uphold all health and safety standards
  • Ensure operational alignment with financial goals by working with the Regional Operations Manager to understand P&L drivers, EBITDA, and cost management strategies
  • Supervise terminal personnel, including performance management, coaching, and discipline
  • Foster employee engagement and a positive work environment
  • Address and resolve employee concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new employees
  • Drive team accountability and responsiveness, especially in communication with the corporate office
  • Recognize and reward employee contributions
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules for all trucks and equipment
  • Ensure all vehicles and equipment meet safety standards and are in proper working condition
  • Commitment to upholding company values and goals
