  • Oversee daily operations of the terminal, focusing on least cost freight handling while maintaining a culture of zero accidents and injuries.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize labor costs, ensuring staffing aligns with volume and operational demands.
  • Consistently achieve service objectives to maintain high customer satisfaction, and monitor key performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Control facility costs per pallet and maximize trailer cube utilization to minimize transportation expenses and enhance efficiency.
  • Implement policies to reduce Pickup & Delivery (P&D) and linehaul miles, aiming for optimal route planning and cost savings.
  • Improve driver retention through a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional development.
  • Hit MPG targets and foster fuel efficiency with regular vehicle maintenance and robust driver training programs.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to transportation and warehouse operation.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a strong team, promoting a culture of high performance, morale, and teamwork.
  • Foster and manage customer relationships, ensuring a high level of service and prompt resolution of any concerns.
  • Oversee the terminal budget, managing both expenses and resource allocation efficiently.
  • Ensure the maintenance and functionality of all terminal equipment and technology, supporting both current and future operational needs.
  • At least 5 years' experience running an LTL cross dock and pick-up and delivery operation.
