The position involves answering telephones with a heavy call volume and directing calls accurately. The employee will maintain a count list of items received or shipped, checking against the bill of lading and recording any discrepancies. Responsibilities include preparing all paperwork and repackaging OS&D freight, maintaining accurate records to report OS&D freight issues to terminal management, and keeping the OS&D area clean and organized. The employee will contact customers to coordinate delivery times, respond to inquiries regarding bills of lading, and handle customer complaints about billing or services. Additionally, the role requires investigating and resolving inquiries related to overages, shortages, and damaged freight, verifying and processing paperwork concerning claims, and preparing bills for freight movement. Regular attendance is required, and the job may involve performing other duties as assigned based on operational needs.
