The position involves answering telephones with a heavy call volume and directing calls with accuracy. Responsibilities include checking in drivers, entering delivery manifest data into the computer system, conducting imaging and scanning of bills of lading and other documents, and identifying freight bills requiring special delivery instructions. The role also entails the distribution of bills of lading, entering data into the dispatch system, working with driver handhelds, and contacting customers to coordinate delivery times and schedule appointments for freight delivery. Regular attendance is required, and this is not an all-inclusive list of job requirements and/or duties. Employees are expected to perform all duties and tasks as assigned, which may include operational and safety needs.
