There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
The Architecture Department at Barnard College seeks a full-time Term Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses. This is a one-year position beginning on July 1, 2025, with teaching responsibilities during the standard academic year from September through May. Term Lecturers teach three courses per semester. There will be a maximum of four total course preparations over the course of the year, with the assumption that two of the courses will be taught in both the fall and spring semesters. Potential courses include: Design Futures: NYC, a workshop-based design course that introduces design practices and design thinking at an introductory level; architectural design studios required for the major or minor at the introductory or advanced level; or elective workshop-based courses. The position will include the candidate's involvement in the development of a new one-credit course focused on 'making,' prioritizing first-year students, and the related teaching responsibilities for that course. Exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities are determined by the Chair.
