About The Position

The History Department of DePaul University is seeking a qualified US historian with a specialization in Latino/a/x/e history, Chicano history, or borderlands history for a one-year visiting term faculty position starting in January 2025, with the potential for renewal. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching three classes per quarter, focusing on introductory courses in Latino History, Chicano History, and American History. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop an undergraduate course in their area of expertise, which may include topics such as labor, migration, critical race studies, gender, sexuality, or popular culture. The department values candidates who have demonstrated experience in teaching within diverse learning environments, reflecting the university's commitment to inclusivity and cultural competency.
