About The Position

The Teradata/Informatica Developer at Lavsun Technologies Inc. is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes using Teradata and Informatica PowerCenter. This role involves collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data integration requirements and translating them into technical specifications. The developer will also focus on performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes to ensure efficient data loading into the data warehouse.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing ETL solutions using Teradata and Informatica PowerCenter.
• Experience in SQL, complex query writing, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Teradata utilities including BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and FastExport.
• Experience in data modeling in a data warehousing environment.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex data integration issues.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Teradata and Informatica PowerCenter.
• Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand data integration requirements.
• Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading in Teradata environment.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes to ensure optimal throughput and minimize processing time.
• Collaborate with data modelers and database administrators to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability of the Teradata data warehouse.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration, ETL processes, and data quality.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including design documents, data mappings, and process flows.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in Teradata and Informatica technologies.
