About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated Teradata Developer with over 10 years of experience to join our team. The role involves developing complex requirements and maintaining applications within the Financial Crimes technology sector. The developer will work closely with business partners to define system application requirements and will be responsible for the full development lifecycle, including solution architecture and application design.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex requirements and maintain applications in Financial Crimes technology.
  • Provide insight and direction from a data perspective and assess the impact on technology systems.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle of the capability being delivered.
  • Contribute to story refinement and define requirements, estimating work necessary for delivery.
  • Perform proof of concept to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  • Setup and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline.
  • Handle technical aspects of the application including Change Management and Maintenance.
  • Work with Data Analysts and Developers to ensure best practices and governance are followed.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, peers, and business partners regarding deliverables and timelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Teradata development.
  • Strong understanding of the Teradata platform and hands-on solution architecture.
  • Experience with SQL/BTEQ scripting, TPT, Informatica, UNIX Shell scripting, Autosys, Cloudera CDP, Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala).
  • Demonstrated data sourcing, data analysis, and modeling skills.
  • Experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery, and change management (CICD).
  • Good knowledge of Unix and development of shell scripts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes.
