About The Position
Preferred Qualifications Successful candidates will be expected to develop and sustain an internationally recognized research program. The University is a partner in the management and operation of the U.S. Department of Energy ( DOE ) Savannah River National Laboratory ( SRNL ), with a goal of expanding collaborative research partnerships and developing the advanced workforce for SRNL ; therefore, the Department is interested in applicants whose programs will support DOE priorities in energy security, national security, and sustainability broadly writ. In alignment with the University’s focus on applied AI, we are also interested in candidates who use AI to advance knowledge and discovery in their specific research field. Joint appointments with SRNL may be considered.
