Primary duties will include leading the launch of the new Civil Engineering program and establishing state-of-the-art laboratories in areas such as construction materials, foundations, and structural analysis. They also encompass developing a robust externally funded research program, enhancing the School’s research profile, and fostering collaborations with industry, government, and interdisciplinary teams. Primary duties further extend to contributing meaningful service to the School, College, and University, mentoring junior faculty, guiding student research, and positioning the laboratories as a regional hub for industry-relevant innovation. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace. The School of Engineering offers ABET-accredited programs in Systems, Computer, and Petroleum Engineering and will launch a multidisciplinary MS in Systems Engineering in Fall 2026. Faculty numbers have seen remarkable growth alongside thriving enrollment and program expansion.
