About The Position

This candidate will be expected to undertake cutting-edge research using empirical data and to develop innovative approaches to causal analysis in perinatal and women's health research. The candidate will be expected to present the findings of the research endeavors at national and international conferences. As well, the candidate will be expected to serve on scientific advisory committees nationally, including, but not limited to, serving as an editor of a journal, serving on editorial boards of journals, lead symposia at national and international conferences, etc. Specific responsibilities include: 1. Conduct etiologic research in their area of interest/expertise, aligned to perinatal or reproductive epidemiology, as well as population health research, causal models, and causal inference in women's health. 2. Devote efforts to the development and applications of innovative epidemiologic methods. 3. Maintain an independent and successful research portfolio with independent funding. 4. Participate actively in teaching programs. 5. Facilitate departmental engagement in these areas with similar efforts within the medical school, the school of public health, and institutes and centers. 6. Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy. 7. These expectations are not all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned by the Division Chief or the Department Chair.

Requirements

  • The candidate must have completed, or soon to complete, doctoral training (Ph.D., ScD, or DrPH) in epidemiology.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with post-doctoral training are preferred.
  • Preferred qualifications include individuals who have received funding (or applied for a funded) career development award and have a strong record of scholarly achievement with an impressive publication record.
