The Department of Physics at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology invites applications for several tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. We seek candidates in all areas of quantum science and technology including, but not limited to, quantum information, photonics, quantum optics, cold atoms, neutral atoms, trapped ions, solid state qubits and quantum simulation. An applicant must possess a PhD degree in physics or related field and demonstrate a strong track record of research in quantum science and technology. Appointments at the rank of Associate Professor level or above will also be considered for candidates with exceptional records of research excellence and academic leadership. In addition to pursuing a vibrant research program, an appointee will be expected to engage in effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
