About The Position

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Program in Media Arts and Sciences (MAS) and the Media Lab. Requirements

• Hold a terminal degree (PhD, MFA, MArch, or equivalent) in media arts and sciences, computer science, engineering, education, art/design, or a related field by the start of employment.
• Demonstrate a strong record of research in relevant fields.
• Have a track record of developing significant creative tools and/or expressive experiences.
• Exhibit a willingness to take risks and look beyond traditional disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels related to Media Arts and Sciences.
• Conduct original scholarly research in relevant topics.
• Run a research group and supervise graduate students.
• Mentor students and contribute to their academic development.
• Shape the culture of the Media Arts and Sciences program and the Media Lab.
